About 4wd Interiors
4WD Interiors originated in 1980 when founder Gary Plant was working as an air conditioning contractor based in the mining town of Karratha, North Western Australia. Travelling the vast distances of the Pilbara and Kimberley region, Gary found a basic need to set up his FJ40 Landcruiser with a few extra storage compartments. First, was the Dash Shelf to place the odd can of thirst quenching beverage somewhere! Next, was a Top Shelf for installation of a CB radio, then came an overhead Rear Rack made of light gauge reinforced wire mesh to store his sleeping gear, towels and jackets.

DEPARTMENT OF INTERIORWe are specialist manufacturers of custom built floor consoles, dashboard consoles, overhead consoles, and seat mounted consoles for cars, trucks, and 4WD's. We custom build cargo storage drawers, false floors and fridge slides for 4WD's, stationwagons, vans and utilities, as well as door pockets for all model vehicles. We sell C.B. radios, UHF radios and HF radios.
